Earlier he used to take more breastfeeding and less formula milk like a top up milk but since last few days he is taking more formula milk and less breastfeeding. He cried a lot when he was breast feeding and refused to take breastfeeding. He demanded only formula milk and not accepting breastfeeding. we are too frustrated to his crying and giving formula milk. please advise. how to increase his breastfeeding intake ?

My baby is 4 months old. He is taking formula milk and breastfeeding as well. A. Actually not realising this that bottle feeding sometimes is very easy for the child they don’t have to make an effort to do so it’s very easy and breastfeeding they have to make a little more effort which is why this is happening so in order to deal with the situation you can try using a nipple shield so that your child gets better grip and press your breast with your hands when you feed so that will help in enhancing the flow of the milk
