Q.

My baby is 4 months old and we travelled to Delhi 2 days back.Since morning he had fever about 101 and was reduced to normal after I gave him calpol syrup to 97. Again in evening his temperature is about 99. Should I worry and take him to hospital or continue giving Calpol syrup?

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose a bys the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
