Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy1 Year agoA. to treat a mosquito bite in a child, wash the area with soap and water, apply a cold compress to reduce swelling, and use an over-the-counter anti-itch creadm. avoid scratching to prevent infection. if the bite becomes red, swollen, or shows signs of infection, consult a pediatrician for further evaluation and treatment. d
