A. For a 4-month-old baby weighing 7.5 kg, the typical dose of acetaminophen (Pacimol) for fever or pain relief post-immunization is usually based on weight. The recommended dosage is generally 10-15 mg per kg of body weight every 4-6 hours as needed, but not more than 5 doses in 24 hours. Here’s a general guide: - **Weight of baby**: 7.5 kg - **Dosage per kg**: 10-15 mg The dosage would be: - **Minimum dose**: 7.5 kg × 10 mg = 75 mg - **Maximum dose**: 7.5 kg × 15 mg = 112.5 mg Pacimol usually comes in liquid form with a concentration of 120 mg/5 ml. So for your baby: - **Minimum dose in ml**: 75 mg ÷ 120 mg × 5 ml = 3.125 ml - **Maximum dose in ml**: 112.5 mg ÷ 120 mg × 5 ml = 4.6875 ml You can safely give your baby between 3.1 ml and 4.7 ml of Pacimol every 4-6 hours as needed. However, it’s crucial to double-check with your pediatrician before administering any medication to ensure the proper dosage and to discuss any specific health concerns related to your baby.
