Q.

My baby is 4 month old and he was 2.7 weight at the time of birth now 5.5 is it normal? He looks like very thin i an scared that he is not getting enough milk how to gain weight?

A. Ideally, baby should gain 140-200 gms per week in the initial months and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. According to this, your baby's growth is fine. Keep feeding breastmilk Or formula milk fully and frequently. From 5th month, you can also introduce some semi solid foods like lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and sooji porridge.
