Mom of a 5 m old girl2 weeks ago
Q.

My baby is 4.5 months old. Her weight is 5.2 kg. Last month she was 4.8 kg. Only 400 gram increased by month. She is exclusively on breastfeeding not taking formula feed. What can I do to increase her weight? I am feeding her on demand during the day and feed her every 2 hours during the night.

A. Actually what happens is a child should gain at least 500 g in a month your child is only hundred grams behind and if you do not see the weight happening to be in the coming month which is 500 g and you should start giving 2 or three feeds of formula and rest breastfeeding and the child will cover up for the weight that should be there
