Q.

My baby is 3 months 25 days old. She has not passed motion since one week. She usually passes stools latest by 7 days. But this week it is getting delayed. Is it normal? She is passing urine more than 6 times a day, feeding well and active. Yesterday night she was having difficulty in passing gas and crying. So I gave her 2.5ml of bonissan as per pediatrician advice. She is exclusively breastfed. Is this a cause of concern?

A. Constipation in Babies less than 6 months is very common and more in formula fed babies. you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme prepardations in profper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of of age
