my baby is 3 month's old and she is didn't pooped from last 1 week and she is crying a lot at from last 2 night and sleeping very well in morning.can you please suggest me what to do.

I have taken my 3+months baby to pediatrician that she is not passing stool for 1 week then he said its a problem and he gave lactulose solution USP and told to pour 2.5 ml morning and 2.5ml evening for 10 days.can I give that to my baby daily.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children2 years agoA. tk sBabies below 6 months may not be passing stool regularly a constipation of 8 to 10 days is absolutely normal in them there is no need of any medicines

It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also.
The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi solid to solid or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool d
Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normxal.
the crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation
