my baby is 22 days old. he not latching directly on my breast because nipple size is very small . so I am using nipple shield. now I am trying to latch him directly. but he is not taking. can I continue with nipple shield. somewhere I read nipple shield reduces the milk supply.

A. Yes of course you should use nipple sheet when you have the right way to feed the child that’s completely alright and it’s completely safe to few feet via nipple shield and why it is going to affect your breastfeeding it is not doing anything to your breast or your milk it’s just an external source you are using for help
