Q.

My baby is 2 years old and he weighs 11.3 kgs. He is used to eat grind foods and not ready to chew the food. What should i do now to get rid of this because he is not able to take solid foods now?

A. Some babies take more time than others to develop chewing habits just because they are not willing to. To inculcate the habit of independent eating, try to keep giving him finger foods regularly. Instead of pureed form, start making foods a lot more chunkier. Initially, he might take time to swallow and finish off the food, but with your patience, he would soon start eating solid foods.
