Q.

My baby is 2 months old, these days he is crying a lot for no reason. He is not playing, either he sleeps or cry. After crying for 2 hours he sleeps. I have given him colic aid drops as well. Day by day he is crying a lot. Does anyone faced same issue? What might be the reason?

A. due to gas. the recurrent stretching / curving of the body again and again as well as uncomfort / making grunting sounds as well as hiccups as well as colic pain all are due to gas in the intestine and stomach. it is very important that after giving milk to the child you should keep the child in upright position and do burping for 15 to 20 minutes(irrespective that you hear the burps or not). gas in stomach causes hiccups. do not keep the child back on the bed after 1 burping because one time burping will not remove all the gas and if the gas is not removed properly it goes into intestine causing abnormal distension and that will lead to colic pain again and again. keep the child in upright position whether you hear the burping sound or not and also it is not important that you will hear the sound when the child removes the air from the oral cavity.

A. Hai good morning !! If you observe baby crying more than 20- 30 minutes by stretching body ,body&face becoming red then colic pain. Ask Doctor suggestion when to give colic drops and dosage also check baby vomitting or motions due to indigestion issues also cause stomach pain. Normally crying for 10 minutes before sleep ,after waking up is normal due to hunger, mother's touch or to hold ,diaper wetness.
