Q.

my baby is 2 months old, she is not able to sleep in her own, either I have to nurse her to sleep or rock her, even though I do these, she wakes up after 5-10 minutes. one time she was awake for 6 hours. is there anything I can do.

A. thank you for suggestions. I have tried most of them except swaddling. after I do these when I put her on bed she wakes up by startling reflex, I can see that she is tired and want to sleep but she gets startled and wakes up completely.

A. for making the child sleep you can do the following things you can swaddle the child to make the child comfortable you can sing a song / lullaby you can use a cradle or swingf you can go for a car ride with the child keeping the child on your shoulder you can walk briskly you can keep the child in between both the legs and gently swingc the legs both sides. sleeping pattern gradually improves with increasing age of the child

Its Absolutely normal this is how you want kids are going to sleep you cannot expect them to sleep on their own but yes if your child is not sleeping properly or for longer durations and that’s not good because a child should be sleeping for at least 18 hours in a day at this age you may consult your paediatrician ones for this
