Q.
My baby is 2 month old.. from three days she have runny nose, cold, and khasi, so I gave her the CETZINE drops(5 drops) as advised by the pediatrician but I notice that she is less playful and become more sleepy. is this CETZINE drops cause drowsiness or sleepiness in babies? is drops is harmful in babies?? should I go to doctor?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. it is not advisable to give this medicine at this age of the child and it is due to the medicine the child is sleeping and the dosage given is also very high so please avoid this medicine and take a follow up.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. Citizen has good amount of paracetamol into that and that is why your child could be more sleepy and drowsy that’s very normal it’s one of the basic anti allergic which has the tendency to make a person sleep even for kids and adults as well
