Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. that's fine
Stool pattern of small children changes from time to time.
It can be more than 7 times per day also and sometimes the child will not pass stool for 10 days also.
The most important thing is the consistency of the stool and if it is Semi sodlid to solid or semi liquid then there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as colour as well as the smell of the stool
Also straining and crying while passing urine and stool is very normal

Exclusively breastfed babies might not be passing stools even for a week, nothing to worry as long as your baby is active and normal. Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Give good tummy time everyday to aid in digestion. Keep Babyhug tummy roll on handy. Consult your child’s doctor for evaluation and advice.
