Q.

my baby is 19 mnths old... he says amma ,pappa , tatta , crow etc... he didn't always respond when I call his name.. also don't make eye contact when we say something.. he makes eye contact when we sing rhymes.. also try to repeat rhymes.. is this a matter of concern?? how can I improve his eyecontact... I spend more time with him singing rhymes, playing etc... I'm little bit worried about his less eyecontact

A. it's fine but know. Speech delay can have multiple causes and infected requires a detailed examination by a ENT doctor so as to know the actual cause. Speech therapist is also a must for improvement in speech issues so .

A. You can use play to help your child increase eye contact, and there are countless ways to do so. With young children, use peek-a-boo to practice getting and giving eye contact. Use a smile, tickle, laugh, hug, squeeze, make funny faces, make funny sounds, or whatever your child likes, to reinforce when your eyes meet.
