A. It's important to remember that children reach developmental milestones at their own pace, and there can be a wide range of what is considered normal. While some children may start walking by 12 to 15 months, others may take longer, especially if they were born prematurely. In the case of an 18-month-old who was premature and not yet walking, it's a good idea to consult with a pediatrician or a developmental specialist to assess your child's progress and ensure there are no underlying issues. They can provide guidance and may recommend early intervention services or physical therapy if needed. Many premature babies catch up to their full-term peers in their developmental milestones with time and appropriate support. So, while it's okay to be concerned, it's best to seek professional advice and not compare your child's development to others. Every child is unique and develops at their own pace.
