Q.

my baby is 16 months old from last some days he is having trouble sleeping he keeps getting up in the night 6 7 times all he wants is bm to soothe him currently i m trying to wean him off from bm, in the morning i have stopped breastfeeding him, I m giving him bm only at night, pls guide i m getting very less sleep.

A. Namaste Mom, Their diet should bascially now be all family foods, give him a filling dinner, and also now animal milk can also be introduced were in you can give cows milk which is quite similar to mothers milk, You could probably give milk at the bed time as well.

A. For big children it is important to increase the physical activity of the child during the daytime and also see that the child is drinking plenty of water and is having a good diet just before sleep but at the same time the diet should be easily digestible and not very heavy diet which is causing more gas formation because that also can lead to digestion problem and that can disturb the sleep. also it is important to look for any environzmental disturbance which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the mattress problem. rule out constipation which might be causing gastric disturbance anzd change in sleep pattern Thanks and take care
