Q.

My baby is 15 months old and one of the doctor suggested me not to feed oats to babies as oats are not for kids as it is very high in protein and could damage liver but I had been giving oats to him from his 7 month. Should I stop feeding him oats?

A. Dear mum, oats can be given to your child after 2 years. Oats is bulky, so fills baby’s small stomach and reduces the appetite for other foods. Oats is a very healthy food option, rich in fibre but should be given only after 2 years.
