Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow.
you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice.
normal simple jaundice will go awzay on its own with only breastfeezding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy.
the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Phototherapy is treatment with a special type of light (not sunlight). It's sometimes used to treat newborn jaundice by making it easier for your baby's liver to break down and remove the bilirubin from your baby's blood. Phototherapy aims to expose your baby's skin to as much light as possible
