Q.
My baby is 14 months old. She has been urinating after 10 hrs, sometime 12 hrs. Urine colour is yellow. Now the weather is extremely hot. Her lips are little cracked. All other parameters are normal. We consulted two Pediatrician over phone. They said it's due to hot weather. We were advised to give more fluids. Is this ok? or it is serious and we need to visit hospital?

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 10 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. If the urine color is transparent or yellow then no need to panic. Please increase liquid intake of the baby. Please give coconut water and buttermilk to the baby. Also give lots of water to the baby. You can give banana shake to the baby. Also you can give vegetables soup and chicken soup to the baby.
You can apply white petroleum jelly like Vaseline on baby lips.
