My baby is 13 months old and sucking thumb very badly, please guide how to get rid of this?

A. Thumbs sucking habit at this age is due to some problems underlying it like insufficient breast feeding or negligence or poor child parents bonding is likely to be poor so

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable ahgnd divert in some activities also spend good time with the child . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solutfion available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

A. Teething Can be happening with your child I think that’s one of the biggest i bid it could be molars or it could be some another thing so it’s very important for you to get it checked either with your doctor to check it yourself
