But he is not gaining weight. he urinates and poops fine. sometimes he poops once in 5 days. his weight seems constant for almost one month. what should I do to improve his weight. A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achifeved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about txhe sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child
