Q.
my baby is 11 months 10days old. she is suffering from fever 102.3 . I gave her calpol 120mg 4ml.is there need of any other medicine. her whole body is too hot

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according tor the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reducce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

No Already given the medicine to the child and that too a higher doses so I don’t think so you need to give anything else if you should come down within one hour to something like that and if if it is required you can also do cold sponging that would also help in reducing down the
