Q.

my baby is 1 year 9 month old.. I use to give him daal roti as breakfast.. if I am giving this...apart from this is it mandatory to give daal water again...

A. nothing is mandatory, If your breast feeding your baby then continue to breastfeed at regular intervals and there is no need to give anything else apart from mother milk or formula milk to baby till he complete 6months of age as it is complete food that takes care of hydration as well as nutrition. After 6 month you can gradually start weaning with homemade easy to digest food items like rice porridge ragi porridge mashed fruits apple Puree, mashed banana chiku etc. But whatever you are introducing should be introduced gradually with a small amount

A. he use to eat everything like daal rice roti fruits... but some one suggested that daal water is mandatory.. that why I was worried..

A. thank you ma'am it means daal water is not necessary if he is taking daal roti ,fruits and solids ..
