A. Normal bilirubin levels in babies vary 1. Newborns (0-24 hours): - Total bilirubin: 0-6 mg/dL - Direct bilirubin: 0-1 mg/dL 2. Newborns (24-48 hours): - Total bilirubin: 2-12 mg/dL - Direct bilirubin: 0-2 mg/dL 3. Newborns (48-72 hours): - Total bilirubin: 6-18 mg/dL - Direct bilirubin: 0-3 mg/dL 4. Breastfed babies (3-5 days): - Total bilirubin: 10-20 mg/dL - Direct bilirubin: 0-4 mg/dL 5. Formula-fed babies (3-5 days): - Total bilirubin: 8-16 mg/dL - Direct bilirubin: 0-3 mg/dL
