Q.

My baby is 1 month old and he takes breastfeed for more than 2 hrs at night. When he starts by 10 PM, it goes beyond 12 AM. When I put him down to sleep, he wakes up and starts crying in 5 minutes. Is it normal

A. This is very normal at this stage, 1 month old baby is very small and just getting adapted to the outside world other than mom's womb. He feels more secure in your lap and not very habitual of sleeping on bed that's why they wakeup once you put them down from lap. My daughter also did same when she was same age.

A. Basically your child has gotten used to sleeping in the lap which is very common because mother’s feed in the sitting sitting position that is why this happens so if you want during the night time you can bottle feed the child with your breastfeed express it and give it so the child would straight sleep at bed and that would be more comfortable for you to deal with
