A. Avoid giving yoo much sweets bit fruits can be given so you can give two to three servings of fruit in a day no issue bit avoid sweets as it can lead to cavities if not maintaining good oral hygiene and sweets reduce appetite as they are heavy to digest

A. Yes, giving lots of sweets regularly is not good for a 1 year 8 month old child. Too much added sugar can increase the risk of tooth decay and unhealthy weight gain and may reduce appetite for nutritious foods. Fruits are healthy, but they should be given in age-appropriate portions. Try to limit sweets and avoid making them a daily habit.
