Q.

My baby is 1.5 months old he is formula fed and is having severe difficulty in passing stools , he statins too much with sounds and sometimes he couldn’t pass and gets tired and even cries when farts . He passed stools once or twice a day as of now no constipation but having the difficulty to pass stools everytime . I breast feed him with small amount of supply whatever comes and then formula fed him all day .

A. normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child. it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age. if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause.f but if you are giving formula milk then there is a possibility that the milk is not properly digested by the child and syou will have to change the brand of formula milk. also do not give any food to the child except milk at this age.
