my baby have cold and cough doctor suggested syrups and antibiotic..is it safe to give antibiotic

Usually for common cold and cough antibiotics are not recommended so before you give it to the child please crosscheck with your doctor for what purpose has it been given because antibiotics are usually suggested in case of infections so you need to be more sure about it
