Q.

My baby has completed 1 year and is weighing 9.6kg. is that weight less as per his age. everyone seems to say he is shrinking, not looking like 1 year old? anything we should get tested?

A. Namaste Mom, A full term baby is expected to almost triple their birth weight by age of 1 year and then it takes about 5 years to double that up as well, Give them all family foods, also now toddler gain in height as well, and looks taller compareltively and looks leaner

A. Look I tell you two things over here one is that that a child should be about 10 kg or three times of the birthweight whatever is on the higher side so currently the weight of the child seems very normal don’t believe to what others have to say I do not know what they expect out of your child and for constipation issues I would recommend you to give good amount of liquids to the child which is extremely important to maintain the health and digestion and that’s how the poop is going to be proper and normal
