anti cold medicines are not given without medical consultation
what you can give now is nasal saline drops which is salt water and can be givenn again and again to decrease nasal blockage as well as cough and cold
try to prevent temperature variations around the child and keep the child well covered

keep a bowl full of chopped onion near her bed approx three feet far over night
take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning
don't expose her to winds and dust
