Q.

My baby had dengue along with vomiting and was admitted in hospital he got discharged the day before yesterday he was all ok till he got discharged but since yesterday I have noticed he has started vomiting again and has watery stools could this be after symptoms?? Pls pls guide me

A. the child is suffering from acute gastroenteritis (either viral or bacterial) examination is needed by the doctor for need of antibiotics. can give probiotics like econorm / sporolac / enterogermina one to two times as per dr's recommendations. x give easily digestible food. ors to be given if loose motion is in more quantity to prevent dehydration and ensure adequate glucose level in the body. for vomiting give syp emeset / ondem / vomikind 5ml. do not give milk

A. You should consult your doctor since your child has just recovered from dengue and now lose motions and vomiting are happening may not be good so would be due to indigestion if nothing else but you should consult your doctor regarding the medication that you need to start with
