My baby got fever after 2 dose of vaccination Can I give P 250 to my child?

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2 months old and he has received a vaccinations and got a fever so you can give him syrup calpol 250 just 0.5 ml three times a day

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line trexatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever

If It was prescribed by a doctor at any point of time for fever only then yes you can give it to the child and we were is very common after vaccinations you can repeat the medicine after six hours if it is required and if it becomes high then you can start doing cold sponging as well
