A. Weight in the initial months depends on the birth weight and feeding patterns. Every week, baby should gain 140 to 200 gms and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. Right now, there is not much you can do to increase it, except to feed fully and frequently including 2 times night feed. By 5th month onwards, include semi solid foods in the diet. It will help.
