Q.

my baby girl is given 6 weeks of vaccine..after vaccination she is only sleeping.. breast feeding is also not taking well. what to do..she has no fever .

A. will improve in 1 to 2 days when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. See this has got no connection with the vaccination but yes if you’re giving paracetamol to the child if there is fever or pain then paracetamol could be one reason that your child is sleeping for a longer duration but that is normal after vaccination and medication
