Q.

My baby girl is 6.5 months old, and has been introduced to solids since the past one month. But she refuses to eat at all, and cries everytine she sees the spoon approaching her mouth. Even if i feed her one bite, she removes it with her tongue and cries a lot. I have tried a number of food options, but she doesn’t seem to like anything. Any tips? Also, what is the right quantity of food to give her at this age?

A. Thanks for the prompt response doctor! I have been trying with semi-solids only but she isnt accepting, its been a month now that she is not accepting food. Also, one relative of mine said that babies should have atleast one cup (250 grams) of semi-solid food by now but my baby isn’t eating more than 1 tablespoon of it. Hence worried.
