Q.

my baby girl is 5months now.. all of a sudden she is not able to sleep. sleeps only for 15 minutes at a time. whereas she used to sleep for 2 hrs. wakes up every hour at night too. she is fussy and clingy all day.. is it normal or I need to see a doctor?

A. it is important to rule out any type of discomfort the child is experiencing. sometimes it can be due to colic pain / digestive issues as well as due to some irritability or some discomfort in the mattress on which the child is sleeping gwhich has to be taken care of. for small children you can use a swing as well as do swaddle as well as takeg a walk or you can take the child in the car which will help in improving the sleep of the child you have to also rule out hunger which might be causing sleep discomfort

A. hello babies sleep cycle changes as they grow will be all fine and just make sure the baby is getting sufficient breast milk and is taking well then would not be a problem and any concern then it s better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same
