A. yes gradually outside food / weaning / complementary is started after 6 months of ahe of the child. in complementary feeding start with two rules rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child. you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. you have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount . advisable to go for homemade food compared to outside food.

A. The correct age to start with food is after completing the age of six months I don’t know why your doctor has given you this advice but I would suggest you not to start with food under the age of six months it’s not easy for the child to digest and they can face more issues with digestion so I would not suggest you to start with it as of now
