A. Dear mum, a weight gain of 1 kg is absolutely normal in 48 days. Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month. For healthy weight gain, you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain. Your body frame has nothing to do with your child’s weight gain.
