My baby girl is 45 days old. I had sore nipples in the left breast and nipple blanching after feedings. I recently shifted to football hold yesterday and have feeded 3 times. But still the nipple blanching hurts after feeding and I have pain in a different part of the areola. How long will it take for the nipple blanching to supside

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. you can express the milk from that side but do not give direct breastfeeding otherwise due to constant shaving from the child it will lead to more injury

Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 5 m old girl4 years agoA. Thank you doctor. How long should I give rest to that breast. Because I already have heavy let down in that breast if it is 8s more than 3 hrs of feeding. It is difficult for me to express from that breast too.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. it may take around 15 days to become normal but it is very important that you should give rest to that part of the breast and give only breastfeeding from the other breast
