Q.
my baby girl is 4 months 9 days .Often after having milk and burping she get hiccups.can I give half small spoon water to her .her rice eating ceremony of annaprashan as we say is over.please suggest

Smruti smitaMom of a 1 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. no don't give any additional water. it's very common for newborns to have hiccups up to the age of 6 months. It will be fine within 15 mins..but if you want you can give neopeptine digestive liquid ..it helps a lot.

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hiccups in babies after feeding are quite common and usually harmless. They can occur due to:
1. Swallowing air while feeding
2. Eating too quickly or gulping milk
3. Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD)
4. Overstimulation or excitement
5. Food intolerance or sensitivity
Burping: Give your baby a good burp to release trapped air
