Q.

My baby girl is 1 year old now and she is eating only Cerelac and milk.. other foods she is just tasting and rejecting later.. please suggest what other foods can be given so that she will be healthy as well.

A. Be sure she has a portion of animal foods (milk, dairy, eggs, meat, fish and poultry) each day, plus legumes (like chickpeas, lentils or peas) – or nuts, and orange or green vegetables and fruits. Add a little oil or fat to her food for energy. Be sure your child's snacks are healthy, such as fresh fruit.potato.sweet potato.rice.baby rice.pasta.porridge.oats.oatmeal.Dried Ragi and oats can be powdered and cooked in water or milk to custard consistency.Steamed and mashed fruits like apple and pear.Fruits like avocado or banana which need not be cooked, just mashed.Steamed veggies mashed.
