Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol l can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob g gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. U Can give paracetamol to the child and also advise you to keep an ice cube on to the area where the vaccination has been given because that is going to help in settling down swelling into that area paracetamol can be repeated after every six hours if needed
