A. Hai good afternoon !! After a week baby's birthwl weight reduces by 100-500 gm its common after 2-3 weeks they put on weight. On an average new born babies increase 400-800 gm per month check if baby increasing accordingly. By 5-6 months they double their birth weight. Until 5 complete months excluisive breast feed formila feed every two hours is suggested its enough. 14-18 hours sleep a day & regular massage helps in muscle relaxation and induce sleep ,as sleep impacts on growth harmone.

A. Maybe your child lost weight because of jaundice initially that can happen and but your child has gained decent enough in 49 days also further more if you giving combined feeling I would advise you to change the formula feeding that you are giving I do not know which one are you giving but go for a better one after consulting the doctor
