Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy12 months agoA. yes can give if fever does not decrease after 2hrs of paracetamol.
for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere

Yes you can give it to the child or any other paracetamol that you have available can be given to the child there is no problem in that you can give it as per the current age weight of your child and then you can repeat it again after six hours in case you see that the temperature is rising
