Q.
My baby falls asleep while feeding without fulling his stomach for the last few days.while falling asleep am disturbing him from sleeping even though he is sleeping.He is sucking for 2 to 3 minutes only.But at first he sleeps only after fulling his stomach.Am worried of his new behavior.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist4 years agoA. dear mum that is completely normal for baby to fall asleep during breastfeeding as breast milk has sleep inducing properties
you can gently awaken baby by tingling the toes
if baby is passing urine six to eight times in 24 hours is active alert and gaining adequate weight at least 500 gram per month then feeding is sufficient
