After six month you may start solid food, a variety of canned tin food available in the market you can choose a good one. Fruits apple, banana, orange, papaya can be given to the child after seizing in feed size.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy10 months agoA. It's great that your baby is eating healthy food! At this stage, whether your baby is 5 months or older, providing a nutritious diet is important for their growth and development. If your baby is ready for solids (usually around 6 months), you can start introducing healthy and age-appropriate foods.
Here are some tips for continuing a healthy diet for your baby:
Healthy First Foods for Babies (6+ months):
1. Pureed Fruits:
Apples, pears, bananas, or avocados.
2. Pureed Vegetables:
Sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, or pumpkin.
3. Cereals:
Iron-fortified single-grain cereals, like rice cereal or oatmeal, mixed with breast milk or formula.
4. Mashed/Soft Foods:
If your baby is closer to 7-8 months, you can start introducing mashed soft foods like boiled and mashed potatoes, soft scrambled eggs, or well-cooked lentils.
5. Finger Foods:
As your baby approaches 9 months, you can introduce small, soft pieces of fruits, vegetables, or toast.
Tips for Healthy Eating:
Offer a variety of foods to expose your baby to different flavors and textures.
Continue breastfeeding or giving formula as the main source of nutrition, even as you introduce solids.
Avoid added sugars, salt, and honey for babies under 1 year.
Observe for any food allergies when introducing new foods, one at a time.
It’s great that your baby is on the path to healthy eating! Continue to follow your pediatrician's guidance and track your baby's progress in terms of growth and development.
