my baby completed 6 months she is rubbing her ears, please suggest

A. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal. if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you can apply coconut oil over it. do not use earbuds to cleann the internal ear cavity. external ear can be cleaned with the help of clean cotton cloth. treatment is given only if the child is crying with pain while itching. for pain you can give paracetamol

A. hi mostly it is normal. it may be due to allergy , infection or might be sign of teething. but if a child seems happy and playful ,with only intermittent bouts of fussiness then the problem may simply be teething ,it is a reaction to the tingling of tooth nerves. but if a child is scratching most of the times and there is redness , fever ,ear discharge along with it then you must consult your pediatrician.
