it is usually present due to the throat mucus / thick saliva as well as respiratory secretions
which pass on from respiratory tract (parts of nasal cavity , oral cavity and throat) to the gastrointestinal tract by swallowing and then comes out through the anal canal mixed with the stool.
it mayy be present in less quantity during regular times and would be in more quantity during allergy as well as cough and cold in the child.
mucus in the stool is also associated with gastrointestinal infections as a less constipation as well as indigestion.
treatment is usually given according to the cause
NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. hello motion with mucous can be if the child as cold or any infection and it 9s better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and also safe
