Q.
My baby boy is 2yrs 3months.. he was recently down with high fever and cold .. but now he is doing fine... how ever he s lost weight and become week.. could you please help me in gaining weight for my son, wat all can be done any suggestions please

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen. it also depends upon the diet the child is taking. so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements. the child should be given different flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount. you can add ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diett and this will help in improving the weight of the child. you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

Hi If your child has picked up well your child is fine then first you give more of liquids to the child like soups and juices and then you can start giving little bit of protein rich diet to the child include hundred grams Paneer on an every day basis curd and also you can give fats like ghee and butter
